More Pretty Pictures
Yesterday morning I was out early just as the sun was coming up. Needed to feed animals and do some trimming around the yard, but couldn't resist stopping for some pictures first.
I couldn't quite capture the sunrise in all it's glory. It's amazing how quickly a scene will change in the few minute it took me to walk back to the house and get my camera. But I did manage to catch some of the morning fog and a bit of the orange in the sky.
Then I noticed that dew was clinging to the ends of the pine needles. When I saw it, I couldn't help but think of the descriptions I've read in books of early mornings with dew glistening like jewels. Next time I read a description like that, this is the image that will come to mind.
And of course, while I had my camera out, I had to take a picture of some of the animals. Poppy couldn't understand why I had stopped throwing her ball, but was patiently waiting for me to resume her favorite pastime.
Orca was waiting in the grass for the gopher. He had a long wait.

Love Orca and Poppy. That is a wonderful picture of the morning dew like glistening like jewels. I have read that in books and this picture helps to visualize it.
This makes me feel like I need to grab up the camera and walk the yard at sunrise.

Beautiful pictures! And some happy animals.

Mystery Writing is Murder
I remember when I decided to get a point and shoot (back in the days of film) instead of lugging my Nikon plus lenses. There were too many times when I just wanted a memory of what something looked like, so I could set a scene there someday.
Then I made the switch to digital, and still went with the compact point and shoot.
I even upgraded my phone recently, because I was always forgetting to carry the camera!
I did figure out how to upload pictures from phone to my blog while we were in St. Augustine last week (in case anyone wants to see some morning-at-the-beach shots). And when we leave for our cruise later this morning, I'll be sure to take lots of pictures.
My son is the mega nature photographer, though. He needs two suitcases to carry his gear!
Terry, have a great cruise,a nd thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog before you left.
And, Elizabeth, you are right, my animals are VERY happy. We spoil them all.
